The Canary Willow Route

What about the center of the island?
Located in one of the most important and visited places of the island, Valsequillo gives you the possibility to enjoy its natural charms through its beautiful paths.
With an increasing difficulty, this route known as the "Ruta del Sauce", requires some technical skills in some sections of the route, since it has short and a little bit slippery hills, but it is a very enjoyable and great.
The highlight of this route is the scenery where it takes place. “Los Marteles” Special Nature Reserve is one of the main tourist attractions of the center of the island. This area is characterized for its significant and different geomorphological natural structures, such as “los Cernícalos” ravine. This path gives the opportunity to explore natural places which are full of life, as well as idyllic landscapes for all the nature enthusiasts.
The route finishes in one of the most picturesque villages of the center of the island, called Valsequillo, being a place with a tremendous and awesome agricultural and gastronomic tradition, that will guarantee you an incredible and unique experience.
