The 6 routes of the Gran Canaria Walking Festival will be back from the 2nd to the 6th of November for all the mountain lovers

The countdown has already started for the organization of the V Gran Canaria Walking Festival. All the details of the event are being settled and, as the past years, the participants will enjoy the wonders of the island, its landscapes and most recognizable places.

Gran Canaria Walking Festival will have six routes in its schedule, with medium and basic levels of difficulty, which have been designed meticulously to discover the inlands of Gran Canaria. The registration period for some of them is still open in the Festival’s official website. The routes include bus shuttle, snacks, gifts, gastronomic tastings, accidents and liability insurance, as well as multilingual specialized guides in order to fulfill the needs of the foreign hikers.

There are six routes that can be selected: the Centenary of Teror Spring Water route, the Aboriginal route, the Laurisilva route, the Artevigua route, the Astronomical Night route and the Summit route. Participants can select the full pack, with a price of 120€ with accommodation in El Garañón camping site with half pension, or a weekend pack with a price of 50€ and the same half pension in El Garañón.

However, those who are just interested in choosing a single route, the option is also available with a price between 18 and 25 euros per route.

The event, promoted by Gran Canaria Natural & Active, the association of rural tourism of Gran Canania, had a great success in 2015 with more than 500 participants from 17 different nationalities. The event’s goal is to show the people the surprising natural possibilities Gran Canaria has, and invite them to enjoy the practice of outdoor activities in the island on one of the most spectacular landscapes in the World. Gran Canaria Walking Festival is supported by the Tourism Board of Gran Canaria and contributors from all over Europe, which are involved in this initiative which will surely be unforgettable.
