Artevigua Route
Artevigua is known what probably was an aboriginal region full of caves destinated to different uses, such as spiritual use.
This path begins in one of the emblematic zone of the island, La Cruz de Tejeda. We will go across the island with a longitudinal imaginary line that divide the island in two geological halves (neotamarán and paleotamarán). In this panoramic route we will pass through the Chapin cliffs, an ensemble of caves in the Caldera of Tejeda, to the highest village of Gran Canaria, Artenara.This sightseeing highlights for its archaeological and prehispanical content that allow us to have more cultural knowledge about Gran Canaria.
