This idyllic route starts in the central part of the island, in Degollada de Las Palomas, where we will enjoy the unique views of the impressive Caldera de Tejeda. Then, we will climb to Montaña de los Moriscos, the highest point of Artenara, and we will go on wonderful Barranco del Andén, where we will visit Andén caves and Cascada de los Naranjos. We Will continue the route and when we arrive at Pago de Valsendero, we will set the course for Valleseco town.

La Laguna de Valleseco is a recreation area located in Doramas Rural Park, in Valleseco town (Gran Canaria). It was formed from a volcanic caldera, and its interior is characterized by having a great wealth of native vegetation. It is an incomparable environment, perfectly conditioned to practise recreational activities, including the possibility to have a barbecue. There are grills and jets of water, so it’s possible to spend a perfect day in family under the chestnut trees.
Moreover, there is a racecourse surrounding the entire perimeter of the park. It is the favourite one to organise the horse races during the popular festivities.
The place got its name from the pond (or laguna), which can be found in the middle of the park. There is also an ornithological observatory, where you can sit down and observe peacefully the local and migratory birds, such as pochas, little egrets, grey herons, capirotes, common blackbirds, common chaffinch, seagulls, etc.
